Barkley has earned his first title: Officially a CGC. He passed without any incident and the evaluator was very impressed with him. He loved him! So we are going to venture into something else. We will try a few things. We did a couple of matches, one specialty and one all breed. He got BOB at the all breed. His only competition was one other female but we'll take. I think I would rather do something that we can do together like obedience, herding or agility as opposed to conformation. To look and move his absolute best he definitely needs a handler to bring out that drive. We are planning on attending a herding seminar in June with the chance for a HIC. He is alot of fun to do things with. [img][/img][img][/img][img][][img][/img]

Wow, glad for you! cheers
I'm a little jealous. Cookie failed her CGC test last October because she was to timid. To be honest, I think that she didn't have enough training to pass even if she wasn't timid. My fault.
She thought that the CGC location was the vet's office, because it had the same kind of floor and the same kind of environment.
But we just have to work on a couple of little issues before I can attempt CGC again! She does slightly pull on the leash, especially when other dogs are around, if we meet another dog or person on a walk, she will go forward to meet them instead of staying next to me.

Congratulations to you! Sounds like hes very well trained boy.

Hearding sounds like fun. I agree that they are more bonding exersises to do with your dog rather than conformation, but conformation can be bonding too. Smile
