PostSubject: Dog related job. [Yay]   Wed Mar 19, 2008 6:09 pm

I am beyond excited about my new job so I just had to share the news.

My persistance has paid off.

I turned in an application a few months ago. Waited until March [they said they'd be hiring then] and went in to talk to them. They took my name and number and said they would call me. I didn't hear from them so I went in again yesterday and once again they told me they'd call me.

I really didnt expect to hear from them. However, when I got home from work I had a voicemail. [Which was weird because my phone never even rang and I didnt have any missed calls.] The lady told me to call her back, so I did. We set up an interview for 12:30 today.
I'm SO excited. I've been at the same business for three years now and I'm ready for a change.

This is the place. Renaissance Pet Resort & Spa

I really want this job. I hope to become a groomer and eventually open up my own business so this job will be very useful.

Anywho, the interview went great today.
She said she'd pass it on to her husband and they'd check their schedules and be in touch. She also thanked me for my persistance LOL

I'll be cleaning dog rooms, feeding dogs, taking dogs out, cleaning up dog mess, cleaning their sheets, cleaning their dishes, feeding the cats, cleaning the cat rooms and occassionally helping the Groomer. I'll also be switching between two locations, Renaissance and Hollywoofs.

Oh and my soon to be boss is a certified trainer who trains for Guide Dogs of the Desert so I'll be expected to help with basic manners of any guide dogs that come through the facility Very Happy Right now she's working with a very spunky Golden Retriever. Cutest thing.

So it's not set in stone just yet, I still have to wait for their call. I'm still very excited.

You can't tell, but in my post if you click on Renaissance Pet Resort & Spa it will take you to the website. Also, if you click on Guide Dogs of the Desert it will take you to their website.

How fab for you. We're told to find our "passion" and figure out what we really love to do, and then go out and find a way to make a living by doing what we love. Cool for you ... looks like you figured it out! :-)
